Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the BellSense iPhone app (the “App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted at bellsense.app/terms constitutes acceptance.
The App also asks you to agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy on its consent screen, which it shows after you sign in (section 5).
2. The service
BellSense is a coaching app for iPhone. It is built for kettlebell training first, and it also runs barbell, bodyweight and cardio days.
The App and every program in it are free. You can log your training by hand, and the phone’s camera can count your reps on the lifts it supports. You can also connect Apple Health and a heart-rate strap. Neither is required.
BellSense+ Live, an optional paid subscription, adds the AI coach in full (sections 6 and 8).
BellSense is also developing a motion sensor that mounts on a kettlebell. It is not for sale, and the App never requires one (section 9).
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. BellSense does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
4. Account registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us of any unauthorized use
5. Health and safety
Training carries a real risk of injury. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Information provided is for general fitness purposes only.
After you sign in, before anything else, the App shows its consent screen, which opens with a safety acknowledgment. It shows the screen again when its text changes. The acknowledgment reads:

Get cleared. Talk to a doctor before you start — especially with any injury, heart condition, pregnancy, or medical condition.
You set the limits. Train within your ability. Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or anything that feels wrong.
Clear your space. A dropped bell destroys floors, walls, and anything in the way — including your phone or watch. Set your phone somewhere solid, well clear of the bell's path.
BellSense counts and coaches. It does not decide whether a rep is safe. That call is always yours.
Below the acknowledgment, the consent screen describes AI coaching. Above its I agree button is this sentence: “By tapping I agree, you accept these risks, agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and consent to AI coaching as described above.”
BellSense is not liable for any injury resulting from use of the App or participation in any exercise program.
When a movement has an approved demo video, it plays inside the App with its channel credited. It is a third-party video, and BellSense does not make or review its coaching. Other demos open a YouTube search in a browser inside the App.
6. The AI coach
The coach in the App writes and speaks coaching: reads of your sessions, reviews, answers to your questions, changes to a day’s session, and cues while you train. Some of it is generated by an AI model from your training record, and some comes from rules applied to what the App measured.
Either kind can be wrong. The coach can misread your record, leave something out, or suggest something that does not suit you.
The coach gives training guidance, not medical advice. It does not replace a doctor, physical therapist or other qualified professional.
You decide what to do. If a suggestion does not feel right for your body, do not follow it, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or anything that feels wrong.
AI coaching needs your consent. You can withdraw it in Settings → Coaching → AI Coach. The Privacy Policy says what the AI coach receives and what is stored.
7. Camera rep counts
The camera counts reps on your phone. A count can be wrong: the camera can miss a rep, or count one that did not happen, for example when you move out of the frame.
You can correct a count on the results screen. The coach plans what comes next from the count you confirm.
The camera does not decide whether a rep is safe. Set your phone somewhere solid, well clear of the bell’s path.
8. Subscriptions
BellSense+ Live is the one subscription on sale. It is optional, monthly or yearly. The App shows what it includes, and the App and the App Store show the price, before you buy. Prices vary by region.
You buy it through Apple’s App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when a free trial ends. The App and purchases through the App Store are also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the EULA). These Terms are BellSense’s product terms. They are not the EULA.
BellSense+, an earlier subscription, is no longer sold. If you have it, it keeps renewing on its original terms, under the same Apple rules, until you cancel.
Renewal and canceling
A subscription renews automatically, each month or each year, until you cancel. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. To stop the next renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Cancel in your Apple Account settings: on your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the App or your BellSense account does not cancel a subscription.
The free trial
BellSense+ Live comes with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, and Apple decides who is eligible. The App offers the trial once, during setup. If you pass then, it still applies the first time you subscribe.
The free trial becomes a paid subscription at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Offers and price changes
Offers may be available from time to time. An offer’s price applies for the period shown, then the standing price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
We may change prices. Apple tells you before a new price applies to your subscription.
Refunds
Refunds go through Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account you paid with.
9. The beta sensor
A few people bought a beta BellSense sensor, which mounts on a kettlebell, from this website between March and June 2026. It is not for sale now. If you have one, the App works with it, and its warranty is at bellsense.app/policies.
Ensure the sensor is securely mounted before use. Rep counts from the sensor can be wrong too, and you can correct them the same way (section 7).
BellSense is not responsible for hardware defects, malfunctions, or failures, or for any injury resulting from improper mounting or use of the hardware sensor. You assume all risk associated with physical use of the hardware.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App or its algorithms
- Copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s infrastructure
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws
11. Intellectual property
The App, including all software, algorithms, designs, and content, is owned by BellSense and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights reserved. No license to copy, modify, or distribute the App is granted.
12. Your data
The Privacy Policy says what leaves your phone when you use the App, who receives it, how to stop it and how to delete it.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. BELLSENSE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BELLSENSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. The dates at the top show when they last changed.
